Moons Looking To The Future

The notion of a 27-year-old rookie who played for everyone from the Albany Patroons, the Harlem Globetrotters and the Rome Gladiators was a good-news item that followed the Raptors all year. Reporters, regardless of the city, found in Moon a great story.
“The thing about that great story was that it was fun. It brought a lot of attention to me and to the Raptors,” Moon said. “You want to keep the story going with a whole lot more stories, like Friday The 13th, only with a better ending.”

Final Rookie Standing: 5 | Drafted: Undrafted
After having his shooting percentage hover around the .500 mark all season long, Moon went 6-for-21 (.286) in four games last week. Nevertheless, his rookie season will be remembered for how he seized an opportunity and made the most of it, going from Jamario -- formerly of the Albany Patroons to Jamario -- the man who got everybody to tune in to the Sprite Slam Dunk contest to see him try to jump over the moon.

Bosh Happy For Moons Return
"He gives us that extra body on the boards, that extra energy and hustle," Bosh said. "And he can block shots and alter shots, too. He does a lot of things that don't show up in the stat sheet very much."
Moon's skills in particular are the kind that can keep the Magic from doing the spectacular, which is what can turn the home-court advantage the Magic will enjoy tonight into a huge advantage. .....(Cont with Story)
